Latest Scam Update

The scammers are getting more and more creative.  Here is what they are doing now.  Scammers are calling our members and telling them there is an issue with their debit card.  They are then asked to cut up the card and place the pieces in an envelope so that a forensics team can stop by your home to pick up the envelope containing your debit card pieces.  Once they have these pieces, they put the card back together and now have access to your card information and are making fraudulent transactions with it.

Genisys would never initiate contact with you and make this request, nor would we ever stop by your home.  Please call us if you receive a phone call like this.

We never ask...

This is a friendly reminder that Genisys employees or card security services will never initiate a call, email or text to you and ask you to verify the following information:

  • Personal Information including; member number, date of birth, and social security number
  • Full debit or credit card numbers or PIN
  • Online/Mobile banking credentials
  • A one-time verification code or link that was sent
  • "Test" transactions that you did not complete as legitimate

If you receive a phone call, text, or email asking any of these questions, it is best to end all communication. Instead, reach out directly to a Branch or our Contact Center to assist or review any account concerns. If you feel you've been compromised, change passwords for online/mobile banking and call us immediately.

For additional security, set up these services:

Card Controls - Manage when and how your debit and credit cards are used. Ability to turn your cards on and off for superb fraud protection.
