Tools that Make You the Boss of your Account!

If downloading the Genisys Mobile App wasn’t the first thing you did after opening an account, we’ll wait a minute while you download. :) After registering and logging in, you’ll see your accounts and the obvious features that any mobile banking app should have; transfer money, bill pay, mobile deposit, etc. 

As you navigate through the app you’ll see “hamburger” icons.

These menus expand for additional options in sections for customization settings. The main menu on the left side of the app, shows all of the features and options available to you in our app. What we want to cover today are some of the features that you may not realize are available, but will help keep you on top of your account spending, payments and security.

Card Controls

Do you want an alert, when your card is used? Do you want the ability to turn your card OFF if it is lost or stolen? Do you want to set monthly spending limits to help control your budget? Then Card Controls is your new BFF. This is a separate app that you will download and is used in conjunction with your Genisys Mobile App. Again, we’ll allow you a moment to download it now. 

Once you are set up, you can add any debit and credit card that is associated with your account, including your joint owner’s cards. Each card can have different settings based on your usage. 

The Control Preferences menu is where you can determine where your card can be used and if you want to set spending limits either for transaction amounts or monthly spending thresholds. 

Alert Preferences is where you can set up to get those real-time push notifications when your card is authorized or denied for a purchase. 

With each card, you’ll see a toggle button that can turn your card on/off. In the event your card is lost or stolen, you can instantly turn your card off and all transaction attempts will be denied. Giving you peace of mind until you either find your card or get a replacement. 

eAlerts

Do you want to know when your payroll is directly deposited? What about a text that your checking balance has dipped below your comfort level? Or you have a loan payment due soon? Meet eAlerts. There are several different scenarios that you can customize for either an email, text message, or both to be sent out based on your settings. 

This is a great option to ensure that car payments aren’t forgotten or avoid that embarrassment at check out if your card is denied due to an insufficient checking balance.

Other Convenience Options 

The main menu in your mobile app is a long, awesome list that houses pretty much everything you’ll need to manage your account. Take some time to look at it and take advantage of all we have to help maximize your membership.
