Loan Applicants:
Online loan applications will be temporarily unavailable from Wednesday, January 29, at 12:00 PM (noon) until Monday, February 3, as we complete a system upgrade.

Online and Mobile Banking Users:
Online and Mobile Banking will be unavailable from 1:00pm January 31st until 9:00am ET February 3rd for system upgrade. We apologize for any inconvenience.   

 

2025 System Upgrade

We are very excited to announce Genisys Credit Union’s upcoming system upgrade. Our system upgrade will take place over the weekend from Friday, January 31st, through Monday, February 3, 2025 at 9:00 am. We will continue to update this landing page with details of the change and coming enhancements, any system downtime that may effect you and steps you should take prior to the upgrade to ensure a smooth transition.

Finance App Users Take Action Before 1/31/2025

Quicken, Quickbooks, Plaid, Yodlee, Finicity users please read

Intuit

Action Date 1/31/2025: Download a data file backup and final transaction download by Friday, January 31st at 1pm ET. Any data not saved may not be available after the upgrade completes.
Action Date 2/3/2025: Deactivate/Reactivate your Genisys Online Banking connection to Intuit on Monday, February 3rd after 9am ET, when we are back online.

Instructions: Intuit provided us with some step-by-step instructions, please follow one of the links below for your preferred service.

Plaid, Yodlee, Finicity, etc.

Members will have to open a ticket with the app provider to be reconnected after our systems are back online, Monday, February 3rd at 9am ET. Unfortunately, Genisys does not have control over these apps or integration.  

Please make sure that we have the correct contact information on your account. You can verify/update your phone number, email address and physical address through online and mobile banking, or by calling us at 248-322-9800 x5 or 1-800-521-8440 x5.

 

What To Expect During Our System Upgrade Weekend: 

Your debit card and credit card will continue to work during the upgrade weekend, but transaction limits may be reduced. We recommend you have an alternate payment method available, such as cash.

 REMINDER: please be aware that Genisys will never ask for personal information via unsolicited text message, email, or phone. if you receive an unsolicited message from someone claiming to be from Genisys Credit Union and asking for full account numbers, passwords, or other personal information, we advise you not to respond. Hang up and contact Genisys directly and speak with someone in member service. if you have given out your credit card, debit card, or other information, please contact Genisys as soon as possible.

 

Account Changes To Be Aware Of: 

Courtesy Pay
If you have multiple checking accounts under one membership that are using Courtesy Pay today, starting Monday, February 3, 2025 your Courtesy Pay will default to the oldest checking account. If you wish to have this changed, please contact us after February 3rd.

Courtesy Pay on Debit Card Transactions
If you have elected to use Courtesy Pay to cover your PIN or Signature everyday Debit Card purchases separately, you will be opted in for both PIN and Signature Debit Card purchases moving forward.

Overdraft Loans
All overdraft loans will pull the minimum amount needed to cover an overdraft transaction

Dividend Payout
All dividends (Checking, Savings, Certificates) will be paid out on 1/31/2025.

Check Hold Policy
Effective 2/3/25 the new check hold policy will be no funds available on the same day and up to $225 available the next day if your check is subject to a hold.

Account Type Changes
S, I, and L product types will all be changing to a 4 digit numeric value. Today your Share Savings account is identified as S1 but will change to S 0001. An S16 Checking account will now be an S 1000. Any new ACH set ups (direct deposit, payments, etc) will need to be set up using your existing MICR #. For clarification, you can view your account and MICR numbers in Mobile and Online Banking.
