event photoAuburn Hills, Mich. – July 3, 2013 -- Genisys Credit Union, which provides services to anyone who lives or works in the Lower Peninsula, recently sponsored the Belleville National Strawberry Festival.

Held every year since 1976, the National Strawberry Festival transforms the town of Belleville into a strawberry wonderland. The free festival attracted over 200,000 people throughout Southeastern Michigan with entertainment, attractions, events and every type of strawberry treat imaginable. Proceeds from the event will support over 40 community programs, according to the festival’s official website.

“The Annual Strawberry Festival is very popular with the Belleville community,” said Jackie Buchanan, President/CEO. “It was great to see many of the local residents out and about supporting a longstanding annual event.”
