For the past 14 years, Genisys Credit Union has been named a Top 100 Workplace by the Detroit Free Press. This award recognizes companies that work to build & maintain an organization that places a focus on employees & their experience.
“We are incredibly proud & honored to receive this recognition because it embodies our purpose, Where You Come First, which is central to everything we do,” said Jackie Buchanan, President & CEO of Genisys Credit Union. “We strive to create a culture and environment where employees can grow & succeed. When you create that space, it gives your employees a voice and creates intentionality in partnering for a positive impact to improve the well-being of our members & communities. These partnerships with each other are at the heart of our culture and make Genisys a great place to work.”
The Detroit Free Press partners with Energage, an employee research and consulting firm, to identify the honorees based on employee surveys. The survey asks employees to judge their workplace on various topics such as alignment, effectiveness, connection, leadership, and more. Final rankings are based solely on employee survey feedback and employers are ranked among groups of similar size to most accurately compare results. 174 companies made this year's list.
The credit union offers support to their employees through flexible work hour arrangements, a generous 401(k) program featuring a 5% company profit-sharing contribution on top of the standard 3% match, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive health insurance plans, and more.
