Check Presentation(Oakland County), Mich. – August 4, 2017 – Genisys kicked off the Cars 108 (WCRZ) McDonald’s Roof Sit with a $500 donation to the Whaley Children’s Center in Flint.

August 2, 3, and 4, WCRZ staff members and Whaley Center CEO, Mindy Prusa, lived on the roof of the Grand Blanc McDonald’s off Saginaw Road. The “Roof Sit” was an effort to raise money for the kids at Whaley Children’s Center.

A dunk tank was included as one of the many games and activities featured at the event to entertain staff, spectators, and customers throughout the three days. Their goal was surpassed by raising a total of $17,000 which is about $2,000 more than last year.

Whaley Children’s Center, located in Flint, provides tools to children and families who have experienced trauma to reach their full potential. If you would like to donate to this deserving cause, visit their website https://www.whaleychildren.org
